About Us
Judith
Rosenfield, MA, CCC-SLP received her Bachelor of Arts degree
in 1983 from The University of Connecticut and her Master of Arts
degree in Speech-Language Pathology from The Ohio State University
in 1985. She is coauthor of the Program for the Assessment and Instruction
of Swallowing, copyrighted by the Speech Bin, Inc. After working
for several years in various hospital settings in the Cleveland
area specializing in adult communication, voice and swallowing disorders,
Ms. Rosenfield returned to Connecticut in 1988 where she became
the director of speech pathology at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Hartford.
In 1990 she started a private speech pathology consulting practice,
and in 1997 formed her own company, Swallowing
Diagnostics, LLC, which provides portable endoscopic swallow
studies. In June 2005, she co-founded the Swallowing
Disorders Center of Connecticut with Dr. Michael Shternfeld,
otolaryngologist, of Manchester Ear, Nose and Throat Center. Contact

Cheryl
Rowe, MA, CCC-SLP, is a seasoned clinician with over 20
years experience in both acute and long-term health care settings,
specializing with adult neurogenic communication, and swallowing
disorders. Ms. Rowe came to us from the Rocky Hill V.A. Center where
she had extensive involvement in dysphagia and performing Modified
Barium Swallow (MBS) studies. She has previously presented to graduate
students in speech pathology at Southern Connecticut University
on Traumatic Brain Injury Rehabilitation and to students at UCONN
on Swallowing Disorders in Long Term Care. Ms. Rowe has been a FEES
specialist for Swallowing Diagnostics, LLC.

Katrina
Telke, MS, CCC-SLP, was a graduate research fellow from
2000-2001 before graduating from Southern CT State University in
January 2002. She has clinical experience in multiple health care
settings, including acute hospitals and long term care facilities.
Her primary clinical interests include dysphagia, geriatrics and
neurogenic communication disorders. Ms. Telke was trained in the
FEES procedure at Hartford Hospital where she was employed prior
to joining Swallowing Diagnostics, LLC.
Katrina provides FEES services for us in greater
Hartford and Eastern Connecticut regions in addition to providing
speech pathology services for several different long term care companies.
Along with being highly competent, Katrina brings much energy and

Alicia
Wisniewski is our newest staff member who joined Swallowing
Diagnostics in January 2007. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree
from Iona College in 2004 and her Master of Arts degree from the
University of Connecticut in 2006. Ms. Wisniewski’s primary
areas of expertise include dysphagia and neurogenic communication
disorders in the geriatric population. Currently Alicia provides
FEES services for Swallowing Diagnostics in Western Connecticut,
as well as providing speech pathology services to several skilled
nursing facilities in the Bristol area. She is known by her colleagues
to be a very dedicated clinician who is also fun and a pleasure
to be with.
